Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa will visit the flood-affected areas of Sindh today, Bol news reported.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the Chief of Army Staff will be briefed on the flood situation and relief operations in Sindh. ISPR said that Army Chief will also meet the jawans engaged in relief work.
As per ISPR, Pakistan Army has established 212 relief collection points, 81 in Sindh, 73 in Punjab, 41 in Balochistan and 17 in KP. Pakistan Army established the Flood Relief Donesh Account to help the flood victims
Whereas, after the federal government, the Pakistan Army also established a flood relief donation account to help the flood victims.
According to the ISPR, donations for flood relief can be deposited in Askari Bank account number 00280100620583, the account is titled “Army Relief for Flood Victims”.
Earlier, the news was circulating about a fake account in the name of the Pakistan Army to help the flood victims, on which the ISPR issued a clarification saying that we do not have any account to help the flood victims. People should deposit the relief funds in the account designated by the Government of Pakistan to help the flood-affected people.
According to ISPR, Corps Commander Peshawar Lt. Gen. Hasan Azhar Hayat also visited the flood-affected areas in Nowshera and directed the army men and officers to take all steps in the rescue and relief operation along with the civil administration.
After the federal government, the Pakistan Army also established a flood relief donation account to help the flood victims.
